Meet Michele

Long before I became a travel advisor, I was the child fighting for the window seat on family road trips — eager to discover what was around the next bend.

Growing up, our family vacations usually meant piling into the car and traveling up and down the East Coast to visit relatives. With four kids squeezed into the backseat, there was one prize everyone wanted—the window seat. I loved watching the scenery change from town to town, imagining what life was like in the places we passed.

My first trip outside the United States came during junior high school when I attended an all-girls Catholic school and had the opportunity to travel to Bermuda. A group of adventurous pre-teens, a handful of nuns, and plenty of rules made for an unforgettable experience. Let's just say we tested a few of those rules along the way.

But what stayed with me wasn't the adventure.

It was realizing that the world was so much bigger than the one I knew.

The brilliant blue skies, British influence, welcoming people, and unforgettable pink sand beaches sparked a curiosity that has stayed with me ever since. Years later, Bermuda became even more meaningful when I returned to marry my husband there—a reminder that some destinations don't simply become memories...they become part of our story.

One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is learning about different cultures. I'm continually amazed by how deeply people around the world appreciate their own history, traditions, and heritage. Every journey teaches me something new, and I always return home inspired—not only by the places I've visited, but by the people I've met along the way.

"As much as I love traveling myself, I discovered I love helping other people travel even more."

There's something incredibly rewarding about hearing the excitement in a client's voice as they begin planning a trip they've dreamed about—and even more rewarding when they return home with stories they'll cherish for years to come.

Whether I'm helping someone plan a first cruise, a milestone anniversary, a European river voyage, a custom international itinerary, or a relaxing getaway, I genuinely enjoy being part of the journey from our very first conversation until my clients return home.

Why The Hungry Traveler?

The Hungry Traveler began with my love of culinary travel — discovering destinations through their food, traditions and local culture. Over time, the meaning of "hungry" evolved into something much broader: an appetite for discovery.

Today, The Hungry Traveler is about being curious about the world — its people, places, cultures and experiences — and creating journeys that allow you to experience it in a way that feels personal to you.

Every journey is personal.

Whether you're planning your first cruise or the vacation you've dreamed about for years, you'll receive the same thoughtful planning, honest guidance, and personal attention.

I’d be honored to help you plan yours.
